By Widia Anggraeni - June 11, 2020
Hi
all!
Eid
al-Fitr for you all, taqaballalahu minna waminkum, wish you had a joyful
al-Fitr festive and life!
My story for the first time had Eid al-Fitr without family
I
have decided to not go back home since the beginning of Coronavirus Outbreak in
Jakarta in the early March, followed by Jakarta Province declared the PSBB or
Massive Social Restriction started on 23 March 2020 until three times extension
and end on 4 June 2020.
In
Islam, Prophet Muhamad SAW said “If you hear
of an outbreak of plague in a land, do not enter it; and if the plague breaks
out in a place while you are in it, do not leave that place.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)
I
do not go home, I love my family, I do not want to be a virus carrier for them
who lives peacefully in a small village there, as you know the epicenter the outbreak is in Jakarta and Government declared to #StayAtHome, so I am staying
in Jakarta only.
Ramadhan
2020 has been my fourth Ramadhan in Jakarta since 2017. I am so grateful that
my Kosan providing us meals for sahri/sahur, so I do not have to go out to get
some food for sahri and minimizing the virus spread. Thank you Ma, Thank you
uwak Kosan who always waking me up for sahri :))
Day
by day fasting in Kosan, when Asr is coming the time for scrolling Grab food hahaha, I do not cook so I use online food delivery (after meticulously the calculation for investing cooking equipment and raw materials, I prefer to buy
meals online, it is saving more money than I cook for myself).
Time
flies 29 days of fasting has completed, the last day of fasting..
In
the afternoon, my friend who natively live here sending me meals for
breakfasting (ketupat, rendang with fruit & dessert.. Thanks Nun)
Malam
Takbiran, Eid al-Fitr Eve..
I
was not feeling sad, it was the reality and alone adult life..
I
have a new family here, Mama Kosan invited all of us to had an Eid Breakfast
Here
we are, Thank ma.. Thanks Wak.. Shintia & Dinar (unfortunately without Mba
Ika)
(Left to the right: Dinare, Me, Mama Kos, Tante, & Shintia)
Having
Lebaranan via video call with family, relatives, and friends, we cannot have
face to face but technology bridging us to stay connected. Stay safe and hope
we can meet again after the coronavirus outbreak ends.
Stay safe all<3
